Thinking about narrator, some stories' narrators are fake. You never know if the narrator is right or wrong. The reason people use this style to write stories. It's just to make the reader feel interesting, like when you think the result is this, but it turns out differently. Sometimes when people read stories, the narrator keep saying this saying that, it makes you think you believe in the character. The writer use this kind of advantage to make story more interesting. Sometimes reader will read a story and think they know the ending and they will stop reading. Writer will make narrator's words very unique, which makes you think should you believe him or not. That is a technique to trick readers. That makes the story more interesting and the reader will welling to finish the story. I didn't read much story because I watch movie, I think harry potter is the movie that can trick me best. I always think the teacher is the bad guy, but actually the teacher is protecting the main character. Because of that, I am willing to finish that movie, before I was thinking stop watching, that is why stories and movie makes narrator lie. It's to make story interesting and fun.
